Dont forget your curtain poles

With the explosion in the last decade of DIY, especially in the media, people are decorating and accessorising their homes far more often than they ever used to.
Whilst these hundred mile an hour television programmes might show us a wonderful (or sometimes far from wonderful) end product, very little is shown of the planning involved at the beginning of the process.

Curtain poles and tracks may seem to be an insignificant part of the decorating process but actually they are of fundamental importance when deciding the look and feel of newly decorated rooms. Even in the pre-planning stage curtain poles have to be considered. What colour is your room going to be? What sort of furnishings will adorn your room? Will your curtain poles match everything you have planned?

To the experienced Do It Yourself guru this all may seem pretty obvious and a little condescending but there are many of us out there who are not quite so on the ball and could end up with a painted and decorated room/home only to realise we now have to find some curtain poles that are going to fit in with the rest of the work, rather than planning in advance and already having our curtain poles selected.

The curtain poles may be barely visible when the curtains are closed but to the outside world and to us once we open them, realisation dawns on us that these objects known as curtain poles that are simply holding our fantastic curtains in place now stand out like a sore thumb if they don’t match the rest of the décor! Oops!

Perhaps during yesteryear curtain poles were resigned to a couple of aisles or shelves in a large DIY outlet but now times have changed and there are many companies and retailers that specialize in curtain poles and the accessories that go hand in hand with them.

So for the novice as well as the expert there need never be a curtain pole crisis again! Remember how important they are before a job is started and perfect curtain poles can be chosen to compliment the perfect room.
